There is only one compact car in Canada with standard all-wheel drive, the Subaru Impreza 2022. The 2022 Subaru Impreza is a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback with four trim levels: Base, Premium, Sport, and Limited. Even better, the new Impreza arrives at dealerships with the same base price as its predecessor.

The 2022 Subaru Impreza Limited Trim
In 2022, the Limited grade will only be available on the 5-door hatchback version of the Impreza and not on the sedan. With this top trim level, the Impreza will be a little more luxurious, and it comes standard with an automatic transmission.
Upgrades include alloy wheels with a machine finish, LED headlights, and outboard mirrors with integrated turn signals.
It features a premium interior with a 6-way powered driver's seat, perforated leather-trimmed center console, double stitching, and automatic climate control.
As for the Limited comes equipped with all of the technologies in EyeSight and the Sport's options package. As well as high-beam, assist, reverse automatic braking, and steering-responsive headlights.
The 2022 Subaru Impreza Sport Trim
Besides everything included with the Premium trim, the Sport adds sport suspension tuning. Active Torque Vectoring is also standard for better cornering.
Upgrades include an 8-inch touchscreen, push-button start, aluminum pedals, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Standard on the hatchback is a short-throw 5-speed manual transmission. You can opt for an automatic transmission with EyeSight if you prefer.
The 2022 Subaru Impreza Premium Trim
When you upgrade to the Premium model, you'll get all of the features on the Base grade, as well as automatic transmission.
The Premium adds windshield wiper de-icer, heated front seats, fog lights, and heated outboard mirrors to the Base trim’s equipment. The Starlink Multimedia Plus system with two additional speakers is also included.
You can add an exciting option package with a power moonroof, rear cross-traffic alert, push-button start, blind-spot detection, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.
The 2022 Subaru Impreza Base Trim
The Impreza is Subaru's entry-trim level. Aside from the highest level trim, every trim is available as a sedan or a hatchback.
Subaru Impreza’s are powered by the classic flat-four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. This model comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is also available on the Base trim. An all-wheel-drive system is standard on all Impreza models.
For its price point, the Base grade comes well equipped with features such as power windows, power door locks, remote keyless entry, and power outside mirrors.
Subaru Starlink infotainment system also comes standard with an Android Auto, 6.5-inch touchscreen, 4-speaker audio system, and Apple CarPlay. Sixteen inches steel wheels in diameter and seven airbags are included.
