2023 Subaru Crosstrek Trim Levels

Subaru brought out the current Crosstrek styling around five years ago. With all the upheaval in the motoring world over the past couple of years. It’s unlikely that this vehicle will see significant changes in 2023, primarily as Subaru concentrates on its EV range.

Trim Levels

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek trim levels come in five models. The most basic of the trims is the Convenience, priced at $24,995, and when equipped with EyeSight, it starts at $27,195.

Next is the Touring, starting at $27,595, and with EyeSight, $29,595.

The Outdoor (only with EyeSight) starts at $31,495, while the Sport will cost you $30,095 and with EyeSight $32,695.

Top of the line is the Limited (only with EyeSight) at $35,795.

EyeSight Driver Assist Technology combines five advanced safety features: Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Sway Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Pre-Collision Throttle Management.

The entry-level Convenience, Touring, and Sport models, with their 152hp engines, give a sedate drive. The Outdoor and Limited trims display perky ride capability with a 182hp 2.5-litre engine.

All the models have car-like handling, and the suspension does an excellent job of soaking up bumps. They have excellent off-road manners making them very capable small SUVs.

The Crosstrek has a smooth, comfortable ride with firm seats that provide excellent comfort on long trips and short hops around town. The driving position is very comfortable, and the tilt-and-telescope steering wheel ensures every driver will find the perfect position.

The rear seat passengers haven’t been forgotten, and there’s plenty of leg and headroom in the rear. The doors open wide, and aided by a high roof line, placing a child in a car seat is an easy task. The height of the Crosstrek means that getting in and out is easy. Once inside, the cabin is spacious and well laid out with touch screens that manage many functions.

The climate control works well, and the large dials are straightforward to control and adjust, even with gloves on.

With the rear seat up, there are 590 litres of cargo space, and once the seats are folded down, this goes up to 1,569 litres.

The centre screen displays clear, crisp lines for the navigation system, and the voice controls work well for most commands, such as changing the radio station. The Crosstrek offers both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Crosstrek has a full range of driving aids and safety features, enhanced by Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Package.

Fuel Economy

The Crosstrek is fuel efficient, with a combined rating of 9.4L/100km. Around town, this little SUV will give 10.5L/100km, and on the highway, you can expect to see 8.1L/100km.

Final Thoughts

This baby of the Subaru SUV range shares many of the features of its larger siblings and is at home in all weather, both on the road and off. The cabin and driving position is very comfortable, and the fuel economy is enticing for long drives.

This small SUV is a practical, comfortable, and fuel-efficient vehicle suitable for all applications, from mum’s taxi to family runabout to student’s first car.
