Main Upgrades from the Previous Year


The new Wilderness has EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, with more driving assists, automated options, and safety features; the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is now standard for this model.

The front seats have been considerably upgraded, with a 12-way power adjustable driverā€™s seat and four lumbar adjustments. The new version has back seats with USB-C and USB-A ports available.

There are steering-responsive LED headlights and LED C-shaped daytime running lights. The aluminum black hood comes with a matte black decal, a power sliding sunroof, and anodized copper roof rails. This model uses 17x7ā€ wheels and all-terrain tires.

Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity


The new Outback Wilderness comes with a three-month trial subscription for SiriusXM Satellite Radio Travel Link, and also for the Subaru Starlink Connected Services. Those services include several useful features, like boundary alerts, curfew alerts, and SOS emergency service. It also has enhanced roadside assistant and service appointment scheduler.

This system also has a comprehensive list of remote commands. Those include remote climate control, door lock/unlock, start/stop the engine, and vehicle locator. The infotainment system includes a 6-speaker audio system and can be controlled via an 11.6-inch touchscreen display. This model has mobile compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There are dual-stage deployment airbags for the front seats, side-curtain, and side-impact airbags. This model has safety features like reverse automatic braking, cruise control, and a traction control system.
