What’s New for 2023?
The 2023 edition of the WRX offers slight upgrades from the previous model. Subaru added rear seat head restraints for all three rear seating positions. Those restraints have been enlarged for safety purposes. Moreover, the WRX has returned with a revised price range. That’s something we’ll discuss shortly after.
Specs, Price, and Design
The lineup of the 2023 WRX consists of three trims - WRX, Sport, and Sport-tech. The Sport and Sport-tech trims offer variations with EyeSight driver assist technology. Let’s discuss each of those WRX trims.
WRX
The WRX has a starting price of $32,495. Offering 271 horsepower and a six-speed manual transmission, the car has seating for five adults. The WRX is available in four exterior colour options: ceramic white, crystal black silica, ice silver metallic, and magnetite grey metallic. Despite being the low-tier trim model, the car is packed with valuable features.
The WRX turbocharged, direct-injection 2.4-litre engine. The car’s wheels are 17-inch 15-spoke lightweight aluminum alloy. The WRX offers heated front seats and an impressive infotainment system.

Sport-tech
The highest-tier trim level in this year’s lineup is Sport-tech. The model starts at $40,795, offering 271 horsepower and a collection of valuable features. That includes a proximity key with a push-button start and trunk access, LED steering-responsive headlights with high-beam assist, and more.
The car also boasts 18-inch performance aluminum alloy 15-spoke wheels with a gunmetal finish. The 10-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support and soft-touch surfaces provides additional comfort and convenience. The infotainment system adds GPS navigation and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Much like the Sport, the Sport-tech also offers optional EyeSight technology. The Sport-tech with EyeSight has a starting price of $43,395 and adds the reverse automatic braking feature. The Sport-tech is available in seven colours, adding a unique solar orange pearl colour option.
